Job Requirements & Duties

  • Use computer software to design clear and engaging materials for farms, food businesses, or agricultural events
  • Collaborate with farmers, organizations, and clients to understand their goals and bring their ideas to life visually
  • Choose fonts, colours, and layouts that make designs easy to read and visually appealing
  • Prepare drafts of designs for review and update them based on feedback to improve the final product
  • Check final designs carefully to ensure they are accurate, professional, and meet the client’s needs
  • Create visual materials like brochures, logos, signs, and social media graphics that communicate messages about agriculture, food, and farming

Education & Training

  • A college or university program in graphic design, digital media, or a related field is helpful but not always required. Hands-on experience creating visuals, especially for farms, food businesses, or agricultural campaigns, is valuable.
