Corporate Social Responsibility Representative

I work mostly in an office, but I also travel to meet with charities and community partners or lead workshops with employees and managers. I lead programs that help the company give back and make a positive impact on communities and agriculture, and I plan events and initiatives that bring people together and encourage involvement in important causes.

Job Requirements & Duties

  • Manage the company’s brand and reputation and find charitable organizations to partner with that match the company’s values
  • Lead social responsibility programs and make sure all parts of the company are working toward the same goals
  • Research how company programs are similar or different to other companies in Canada and around the world
  • Evaluate how well social responsibility programs are working and what impact they have on people, communities, and agriculture
  • Create materials to share information about these programs with employees and the public
  • Plan and promote events that get employees excited about helping the company make a positive impact
  • Stay within the budget provided for social responsibility programs

Education & Training

  • A university degree in communication, business, marketing, public relations, environmental studies, or a related field is helpful, along with experience working in business, community programs, or sustainability projects.
