Job Requirements & Duties

  • Install and maintain technology in farm equipment, like GPS systems and sensors
  • Troubleshoot assembly, repair, or electrical issues in machinery
  • Ensure all technology works properly and equipment is ready for use
  • Install custom or extra options on customers’ farm machines
  • Help plan service tasks and make sure machines are repaired or assembled on time
  • Follow safety rules to protect people and equipment

Education & Training

  • A high school diploma is required. Many companies that sell or service farm equipment offer on-the-job training, especially for those with mechanical skills and an interest in machinery.
